Koo reaches 1 million downloads in Brazil.

The locally developed microblogging service Koo App began receiving over 1 million downloads from its users in Brazil soon after its debut.

Twitter rival Koo aims to further establish its position on the international stage by extending the app’s availability to new countries and making its debut in additional foreign languages.

The announcement comes at a moment when Elon Musk, a billionaire, has taken control of Twitter and fired a lot of people.

According to a statement from Koo, the multilingual microblogging platform Koo App from India was introduced in Brazil with the addition of the Portuguese language, making it now accessible in 11 native languages.

Within 48 hours of its debut, the website received a “tremendous response” from Brazilian users, with over 1 million downloads, claims Koo.

Koo has maintained the top spot on both the Apple App Store and the Android Play Store for the past four days, according to the statement.

“Koo has recently witnessed 2 million Koos and 10 million likes, by users in Brazil alone,” the statement reads. Koo is an unrestricted forum for verbal self-expression.

Koo’s CEO and co-founder, Aprameya Radhakrishna, claimed that the support is proof that the platform is resolving a problem for customers who speak their native tongue both domestically and abroad.
